What is like to have a baby in SLP?
Many expats choose private healthcare while in Mexico. This means that a woman must have a private doctor (OBGYN). This doctor and his/her team will deliver the baby at the agreed upon hospital. Many expats choose Lomas Hospital, El Bene, or Hospital Angeles. There are options for water births in SLP, but this must be pre-arranged with a doctor. Lomas Hospital provides a service in which the birth certificate paperwork can be done in the hospital after the birth of the baby.
Is public transport available?
There are bus routes through much of the city, though often the buses do not follow a timetable and can be unpredictable. Taxis are available as well as Uber.
Where can I look for homes or apartments to rent?
Many expats tend to live in Lomas 3 or Lomas 4. There are also developments such as Lomas del Tec, Pedregal, Sierra Vista, Monterra, Villantigua, Villa Magna, Miravalle, Lomas Club de Golf and Lomas Deportivo.
